Frequently Asked Questions

Planning a photography session often comes with questions. Here are answers to some of the most common ones families ask before booking.

  • When should I book my session?
For maternity and newborn photography, most families reserve their session during the second trimester to ensure availability around their due date. Family and milestone sessions are typically booked several weeks in advance.

  • What if my baby arrives early or late?
Your newborn session date is flexible. Once your baby arrives, we adjust the session timing to photograph your baby within the ideal newborn window.

  • What should we wear for our photos?
After booking your session, you'll receive planning guidance with suggestions for outfits that photograph beautifully. Soft neutral colors, simple textures, and coordinated tones work especially well for timeless portraits.

  • Do parents and siblings participate in the session?
Yes. Parents and siblings are welcome to join for portraits. Including your family helps create meaningful images that capture this season of life together.

  • How long does a session last?
Session lengths vary depending on the type of session. Newborn sessions typically allow extra time so we can work at your baby’s pace, while milestone and family sessions are usually shorter and more playful.

  • When will we receive our photos?
Your gallery is typically delivered within a week after your session. From there, you can select your favorite images and choose artwork or digital collections.

  • Where do sessions take place?
Sessions can take place in the studio or outdoors depending on the type of session and the look you prefer. Studio sessions offer a soft, cozy environment while outdoor sessions provide beautiful natural light.

  • Do you offer prints and albums?
Yes. In addition to digital collections, families can choose heirloom-quality prints, framed artwork, and albums designed to preserve their photographs for generations.

  • What is required to book a session?
A signed session agreement and retainer secure your session date. Because availability is limited, many families reserve their session several months in advance.
