Hey there friends! Today I am sharing not my work, but our photos from our very own anniversary session!
I have to admit this summer has been super busy and the blog has fell quiet. Instead of blogging, we have been having quality family time and enjoying the slower (or what should be the slower) days of summer. We have traveled to amazing places, done a ton of swimming, gone for hikes, biked, and yes, even read. These are the days I feel like savoring. School will be starting in just two weeks (yikes!) and for the first time, everyone will be off. Cue the momma tears.
I have, however, been still doing sessions. Those sessions will be posted shortly!
Today is a personal blog post, unlike most of the others shared on here. These photos are from the amazing Kate Mannella Photography. While I have to admit, I am MUCH more comfortable on the other side of the camera, Kate and her husband Niko did an amazing job.
Trevor and I have been married for almost eleven years this fall. I have a slight obsession with wedding photography (although I will never do it. Never.) and when Kate offered up an anniversary session I had to jump on it!
I love Kate’s natural, airy style as much as I love this guy. We don’t have nearly enough photos of us together, like most parents. Our walls are filled with photos of our children but none of us. As must as I love having photos of our kids, we owe it to ourselves to have images like these. After all, this guy is just as important as they are to me!
We choose to do this session in our yard, while it’s not a traditional choice, we love the sentimental spot. We are homebodies and love being home. On top of that, we built our home ourselves, on the farm that I grew up. These are some of my all time favorite photos and I cannot wait to hang these in our bedroom.
Thank you so much for stopping by and viewing our anniversary session photos! If you would like to learn more about me, please visit the Meet Mary page.
