Oh the joys and pains of pregnancy! It is such a miraculous nine months of your life, yet such a roller coaster! Being a maternity photographer Cleveland Ohio, the appreciation for what a women’s body can do has only grown.
Those first three months can be a drag, with morning sickness and fatigue (and we aren’t supposed to have coffee??). But then you start to feel your little one’s movements and see that sweet little figure in an ultrasound, and you fall in love with someone you have never met before.
Crazy isn’t it?
The last trimester starts out thrilling, as your due date quickly approaches, but then you become super uncomfortable. But here is the thing, no matter how uncomfortable and anxious you may have been, it all melts away into awe as soon as you meet your little one!
Documenting your pregnancy may not be high on your priority list. After all, you have a list a mile long to accomplish before your life gets turned upside by a pint sized munchkin. But once you decide on a nursery color, you should consider scheduling a maternity session.
Why you ask?
These moments are fleeting. That bump will disappear and in it’s place you will have a toddler. Then a teenager. You will look back at this time as an incredible time before you became parents.
It sounds dramatic, but once you are a parent, a whole new season of life falls into place. You can hardly remember what life was like before there were three. Or four. Or five!
Documenting your pregnancy can not only create wonderful memories of this expecting time, but it will also be a treasured keepsake for your child. I can’t tell you how many times clients have reached out to tell me how glad they are that they did a maternity session because their children love to look at the images of “me in mommy’s belly”. It’s true, my own kids love to look at the one photo we have of my pregnancies!
