Holy moly, it feels like forever since I have updated the blog. Pardon the silence! October, November, and December has been a flurry of baby sessions. So. Busy. We had fall family sessions, holiday sessions, Santa in the studio for a couple of weekends on top of regular sessions. No complaints here though! Over the winter months I will try to share some of the sessions that I’ve missed. Too much baby goodness to waste!
And since this will be my last post of 2019, I wanted to say thank you. This year has been one of the best years yet. I am so humbled by your support. I would not be where I am today without you. From booking sessions to just reading these blog posts, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It means more to me than you will ever know.
Now without further ado, please welcome Baby A to the blog! The sweet girl came to the studio at 12 days old and stole our hearts in a big way. So stinking sweet!
Often, I get a lot of questions about how I get these newborn photos and if the little ones are cooperative. 90% of the time, babies sleep through the sessions happily. We do some prep work before the session to set them up for a nice sleepy time.
Of course, babies are humans, so sometimes they have gas, reflux, or something that just isn’t quite making them feel like themselves. What you need to understand that you baby is the boss of the session, and what they like and makes them feel comfortable is what we go with. Their safety and comfort is our top priority.
We can take beautiful photos of you baby however they feel most comfortable. Please let go of the expectation that you little one will have an exact pose and focus on documenting this moment in time, as they are.
10 years from now, what will matter to you is having lovely photos of your little one to help you remember what they looked like when the world was new. Not anything else. I promise that these photos will only hold more value to you over time.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog! If you would like to schedule a 2020 session, you can do so here. Interested in seeing the newborn portfolio? Here’s the link.
Cheers to 2020, may your new year be full of health and happiness!
